Changes in Boys

Things to expect that are NORMAL

• Typically boys experience growth spurts between 13 and 14 years old 
• Boys often grow larger ears, hands and feet
• Boys notice their penis and scrotum growing larger around 12 years old
• Boys will develop very sensitive testicles, commonly referred to as Balls
• Boys may temporarily develop larger and more sensitive breasts (yes, breasts and yes, temporarily)
• Boys will notice more frequent erections (hardening of the penis)
• Boys begin to experience ejaculations and "wet dreams"
• muscles get larger and shoulders get broader

Signs of Reaching Puberty
For boys, ejaculation is usually the first sign that they are going through puberty. Ejaculation is the release of semen (cum) through the penis. Ejaculation may occur because of masturbation (or self-stimulation, when someone becomes aroused by touching himself.) Ejaculation also can occur involuntarily while a boy is sleeping. This is called a "wet dream." It is very normal for this to happen.
