Masturbation

Masturbation involves touching your clitoris in a way that gives you sexual pleasure. Exciting sexual thoughts fill your head, and, if you go long enough, you'll have an orgasm.  An orgasm is muscle contractions that produce a feeling of pleasure.

Some religions view masturbation as immoral and a sin.  Some parents may have pulled your hands away giving indication that touching yourself as such is a "bad" thing.

Most people don't view masturbation as something "wrong" so long as it is done so in a private setting.  Masturbating is a means for you to become familiar with your bodies sexual responses and you're free to practice it or not.

We believe that this is a personal decision as to whether you feel it is right or wrong and is up to you to determine whether it is moral or immoral.  You should follow your own values and decide for yourself how you're most comfortable acting, trust your gut, you'll know how you feel about this topic.  Just know that masturbation is very common, and it won't harm you unlike the old wives tales would have you believe.  You won't go blind, you won't grow hair on your palms and it won't ruin your sexual ability later on.

For a girl, masturbating is done by rubbing or pressing around their clitoris with their hands, fingers or a comfortable object.  Many times those who do choose to masturbate fantasize about a boy they are attracted to in order to enhance the experience.

How you masturbate or not is a matter of whatever feels right for you. Even though it seems like guys talk or joke about it more, masturbating isn't just for guys, and it's not weird to be a girl who enjoys a little self pleasure.

Some girls masturbate to the point of orgasm as a way of soothing cramps during menstruation. Now on the flip side of that coin, some girls have found that masturbating causes them to cramp worse.  It's entirely up to you to find what's right or wrong.

Masturbating is a means in helping you get to know your own body.  You'll discover what turns you on, what feels good and what doesn't. Once you know your body well, you be more able to tell/show your partner what you like.
