Welcome to
stopthinkdecide.org
The
primary goal of our site is to provide safe, educational and
uncensored information for teens who want to learn about
sexuality, sexually transmitted diseases, pregnancy and
their own sexual health.
We have
provided a variety of sections and will continue to add to
this site based on feedback and demand from a teen focus
group we are working with.
Stop Think
& Decide is a volunteer organization comprised of
non-professional volunteers ranging in age from 13 to
59. Stop Thin & Decide is committed to combating the false
and inaccurate curricula that is currently being taught to
teens through our school systems and organizations that are
manipulated by federal funding and the guidelines they set
forth.
Stopthinkdecide.org
is designed for teenagers and their parents and we hope that
you’ll encourage your teen to learn from our site. Although
we can provide a broad scope of factual information and
knowledge, we will encourage teens to discuss concerns with
a knowledgeable adult or medical professional close to them.
Being a
teenager should be a time to have fun and be free of
stresses and worries associated with issues surrounding
their bodies, sexual feelings and sex.
It is
not our intent to assume the role of the parent when it
comes to discussing these issues. Our only goal is to
provide safe and accurate information that are typically
uncomfortable topics between a parent and their children.
You are
welcome to use the information we provide to initiate
conversation with your teenager or let them feel free to
browse our site and answer the questions they have.
Stopthinkdecide.org
provides packets of information for both teens and parents
delivered via email at no cost. You are welcome to request
a hardcopy packet that we will gladly send through the mail;
however, we do ask that you provide a small donation to
cover the expenses of copies and shipping.
